IEO – Istituto Europeo di Oncologia partner role

IEO is the project coordinator, it will ensure the achievement of the results within the expected timeframe and resources of the proposal by guaranteeing communication and organisation of the Consortium. It will oversee the execution of the project, including the monitoring and coordination of its technical, scientific, clinical, ethical, and exploitation aspects. Additionally, IEO will lead the design of the iBeCHANGE Platform through the psychological and ontological mapping of psychosocial risks and protective factors. Moreover, as a clinical center, IEO will participate in the retrospective study aimed to retrieve and analyze data for supporting the development of the iBeCHANGE Platform.

Our team possesses a wealth of expertise spanning applied psychology, cognitive sciences, and clinical psychology. Our proficiency encompasses advanced methodologies such as co-creation and co- design, alongside traditional psychological assessment and state-of-the-art digital phenotyping of psychosocial and lifestyle risk factors. UNIPA will collaborate on the development of the iBeChange monitoring system. Our team will help in the identification of critical lifestyle risk factors, while meticulously curating a comprehensive inventory of impactful behavioural change. Moreover, we will assume a pivotal role in the refinement of the iBeChange system, ensuring it achieves the highest standards of acceptability and usability.

SporeData partner role

We are leaders of WP6, Impact assessment. The objective of this WP is to evaluate the impact of iBeChange’s system. It includes a convergent mixed-methods design to evaluate the implementation of the Decision Support System, user experience evaluation, and cost-effectiveness analyses. We are leading T6.1. Implementation Science framework and T6.3. Cost-effectiveness evaluation. We also lead tasks from other WPs, namely: T3.2. Collection and analysis of publicly available survey and self- reported data; T5.6. Pilot analyses informing the clinical trial; T5.9. Clinical trial analyses and validation. Finally, we also contribute to other tasks in multiple WP.

The European Institute for Innovation Through Health Data partner role

develops methods, solutions and services that can maximise multi- stakeholder value obtained from health data, to support research and innovation in health, health care and knowledge discovery, while ensuring compliance with privacy protection. We are leading WP7 aimed at devising support and practical solutions for ensuring that data protection and research governance requirements are fully understood and efficiently met. It will assess and review the implications of new and forthcoming legislative changes and guidance for health data driven innovation and their interplay with existing regulatory provisions.

Institut Català d’Oncologia partner role

As Clinical Leader, ICO is responsible for the design and conduction of iBeChange clinical studies. A pilot study (2025) and a randomized control trial (2026-2027) will be performed to assess the feasibility and efficacy of the iBeChange solution in three European institutions: Istituto Europeo di Oncologia (Milano), University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila (Bucarest), and ICO in Barcelona, with almost 2000 participants. Cancer screening program at ICO is integrated to offer iBeChange studies to participating general population. ICO’s main expertise contributions are digital health solutions and psychosocial risk assessment. ICO will also provide anonymized retrospective data from COLSCREEN study.

Ecancer Global Foundation is involved in the Communication and Dissemination of iBeChange. We are part of work package 8 and are responsible for the creation of the website, an internal extranet, social media accounts, quarterly newsletter, press releases and video content. We are responsible for communicating the project’s objectives, successes and the impact it aims to achieve. Our expertise and platform will ensure that iBeChange will have as much exposure as possible and the work and results of the project will reach a broad and diverse audience. Additionally, we will also be collaborating with other projects within our cluster to further the goals of HORIZON Europe’s mission on cancer.

Politecnico di Milano partner role

Politecnico di Milano will have two different roles in the iBeChange project. First, the Politecnico di Milano team will be in charge of managing the data coming from wearable devices included in the clinical studies of the project. These data will be used to enhance the knowledge we have on the individuals that are included in the clinical study and give feedback on the acceptance of the behavioral recommendation proposed by the tools. Second, we will design the Reinforcement Learning model that will be the basis of the behavioral recommendation tools and train such a model on the data available to the iBeChange project. With such techniques, the tool will be able to learn from the previous decisions taken by the individuals and improve and customize the effectiveness of the suggestions provided by the tool over time.

eurecat partner role

Eurecat participates in the execution of several task, leading 7 tasks and one working package. Moreover, Eurecat is the technical coordinator of the project. In this sense, the role of Eurecat in the project is to coordinate the design, development and execution of the iBeChange platform that will be used in the Pilot Study and the Random Clinical Trial

Software Imagination & Vision S.R.L. (SIMAVI) partner role

with extensive expertise in health R&D projects. SIMAVI’s team has developed and implemented solutions for improving the management of the health insurance funds and for increasing the quality of medical and pharmaceutical services, including implementation of nationwide healthcare systems. We will be involved in multiple work packages across the project and will lead the task related to interactive interface development.

Eindhoven University of Technology partner role

has experience in digital health platforms, mobile health, personalization in the context of behaviour change, and advanced data analysis. The TUE team will take care of adjusting the language, timing, and content of the delivered recommendations by developing methods for personalized, timely suggestions based on user preferences and characteristics. TU/e will also monitor and stimulate user engagement during different temporal horizons by using automated discovery and analysis of flexible processes.
